AGONA WEST M.C.E SPEAKES ON THE OTENKORAN COCOA FARMERS SAGA

         Hon:Justina Marigold Assan is the M.C.E of Agona West Municipal Assembly.
          She says,she knows nothing about the "Otenkoran" cocoa farmers saga.
        The oil palm processing company from kwabibrem give no notice of their entry into her geographical land,meaning her municipality.
        She got report from natives of Otenkoran,and she quickly reported it to the BNI boss of her Municipality to make an enquiries.
       According to the report of the BNI over 450 archers of cocoa farm has cut down in replace of planting oil palm.
       The MCE and her team rush to the field to witness themselves, by the information gathered,the farmers had been already compensate.The farmers were closed to 200.
        However the MCE  went feather to ask how the farmers were compensate. That is where concern was raised that per their value of the cocoa farms as compered to the amount given,there has been a cheating.

         So Hon: Justina has called for all stakeholders of the municipality,in group of Chiefs,Pastors, Assembly Member,Public servants,and every individual of Agona west,to stand and back the people of "Otenkoran" .
             She also called on the Omanhena Agona traditional council, NANA NYAKOH AKU .
              The MCE says despite all works not being Government or not,there is a lgal way to acquire Land for a development.
